Data Deletion Instructions: Haqq

Haqq is built to keep as little of your data as possible. This page explains what we hold, how to delete it, and how to ask us to remove anything associated with you.

What Data Haqq Holds

Haqq is designed so that there is usually no stored conversation history on our servers to delete:

  • Your conversations are not saved in a database. On WhatsApp, recent messages are held only in temporary server memory to keep a single chat coherent, and are lost whenever the service restarts. On the web and Android app, your conversation history stays on your own device and automatically deletes itself after 24 hours.
  • Operational logs contain only a partial phone number (the last four digits) and the length of a message, never your full number and never the content of what you wrote or received.
  • Supabase (our database provider) stores only our library of verified legal reference material. It does not contain your conversations or personal data.

In short: we don't build a profile of you, and we don't keep your chats.

Delete Your Data Yourself (Instant)

On the web app or Android app, you can remove your conversation history from your device at any time:

  1. Open Haqq.
  2. Use the clear conversation option in the chat screen.

Your history is also erased automatically 24 hours after your last use. Uninstalling the Android app removes any locally stored data as well.

Request Deletion From Us (WhatsApp & Anything Else)

If you have used Haqq over WhatsApp, or you simply want us to confirm that nothing associated with you remains, you can send us a formal deletion request:

  1. Email saadhvi@haqq.in from any address.
  2. Use the subject line: "Data Deletion Request".
  3. If your request relates to WhatsApp, include the phone number you messaged us from so we can locate any associated operational log entries.

You can also start this request from our Contact page, which pre-fills the email for you.

What Happens Next

  • We will action your request and confirm by reply within 30 days of receiving it.
  • We will purge any operational log entries associated with your request and confirm that no conversation data is retained.
  • Deletion is permanent. Once removed, data cannot be recovered.
